Big picture - Why invest in Rame Energy PLC

Rame Energy PLC Snapshot

Rame Energy is an experienced Independent Power Producer (IPP). We provide on-grid and off-grid power solutions to industry by generating renewable energy; primarily wind and solar.

Mission Statement

Rame Energy will create value for its stakeholders by developing its portfolio of high yielding, renewable energy projects. These assets will generate clean, commercially priced electricity both on-grid and off-grid for the benefit of its industrial customers.

Strategy

Our strategy is to identify, design, construct and operate a portfolio of renewable energy projects. By using our significant in-house skills to design, permit, construct and operate these assets, we will maximise the returns on each project for the benefit of our stakeholders.

To execute this strategy, we will:

  • Build on our proven execution capabilities in the supply of multi-technology power plants to industrial clients
  • Develop our position as an independent power producer by targeting a mixed project portfolio to service both on-grid and off-grid demand
  • Apply the technologies we first pioneered over a decade ago for Barrick Gold to capitalise on the global market for reducing remote, off-grid operations' dependency on diesel
  • Be commercially led to supply industry with cost effective, technically optimised and reliable power supplies via power purchase agreements (PPAs)

TIM ADAMS
Chief Executive Officer

Tim has been the driving force behind Rame Plc since co-founding its subsidiaries - the Seawind Group - in 2001. As CEO, he provides the strategic vision, leadership and technical expertise to drive Rame towards becoming a valuable and high yielding niche player in the global energy market. Tim is an Executive Director of the Company.
Tim started his career with Foster Wheeler where he specialised in petrochemical and power projects across the UK & Asia. He was also responsible for corporate planning and strategic business development for the company's UK group. After a decade with Foster Wheeler, Tim took up a new position as Managing Director of Sea Structures Ltd, a specialist sub-sea contractor engaged in diving and heavy marine construction works in Europe.
In 2001, Tim co-founded the Seawind Group with business partner James Wilson. The two combined their extensive experience in energy, marine sub-sea engineering and shipbuilding to capture emerging opportunities in the European offshore wind industry. In 2004, Tim developed an alliance in a 360MW German offshore wind project and led the transition from contractor to developer as the company started to explore onshore wind projects in the UK.
Two years later, under Tim’s leadership, the company secured a contract with gold mining multinational Barrick Gold to develop, supply and construct the world's highest altitude 2MW wind turbine. This marked the beginning of a close relationship with Barrick Gold and cemented the company’s focus on the emerging Chilean market for renewable power.
Tim is a Chartered Engineer, holds an MBA from Henley Management College and is an associate of numerous professional and industry bodies.
