Range Resources spuds new development well in Trinidad

The well will take two weeks to drill and target the Lower Forest and Upper Cruse horizons

Range Resources PLC (LON:RRS) has spudded its QUN 161 development well in Trinidad.

On the Morne Diablo field, the well will gone down to a depth of 2,200 feet, which is scheduled to take two weeks to reach, and target the Lower Forest and Upper Cruse horizons.

The well is being drilled by RRDSL, an oilfield services provider that Range is in the process of acquiring through a reverse takeover.

The drill being used, rig 18, has already been used to successfully on three onshore wells in Trinidad.
