Lekoil Ltd (LON:LEK) has told investors that the Otakikpo field, in Nigeria, is now producing 7,000 barrels of oil per day and the ramp-up in volume is continuing.

The company, in a brief stock market statement, highlighted the progress since production started at Otakikpo at a rate of 5,000 bopd back in February.

“The company continues to focus on ramping up to phase one target production of 10,000 bopd, which the company still targets around year-end 2017,” Lekoil said.
