Echo Energy hires new Bolivian country manager

Brockmann will join from Petrobras in October

Echo Energy Plc (LON:ECHO) has announced the appointment of Andres Brockmann who will be the explorer’s new Bolivian Country Representative and Commercial Manager.

Brockmann, a Bolivian national, will join from Petrobras in October, the company added.

Fiona MacAulay, Echo chief executive, said: "I am very pleased that we have been able to secure a very well respected industry figure in Bolivia as Echo's country manager.

“Andres has established strong relationships within the industry, regulator and other government bodies and he will be invaluable as our country representative as we look to progress activities in Bolivia and across the wider region where a number of opportunities are maturing."
